1000 Bauchi IDPs get empowerment, food Items from FADAMA II Project

The Bauchi office of FADAMA II additional financing project has distributed empowerment and food items to 1000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.

The state project manager Professor Ali Garba while addressing the IDPs during the distribution, said the FADAMA Additional Financing Project II was designed to address some of the challenges facing people displaced.

Professor Garba who was represented by an official of the project office, Alhaji Salisu Chinade, the Project Manager said, “FADAMA Additional Financing project office are custodians of these Items meant for distribution to you (IDPs). Our mandate is ensure that it gets to you.
You may receive a call anytime from now asking you to confirm whether or not you have gotten the Items,

“We want you to say exactly what you were given without any addition or subtraction. Your confirmation will tally with what we have on our record and will assist greatly in documentation processes,” he said.

In her address, FADAMA II Community Development Officer (CDO), Mrs. Hajara Kushi said that, 2280 IDPs benefited from the same program in 2017 while the project targeted 1000 IDPs in 2018.

Items distributed to all the 1000 beneficiaries include sewing/knitting machines, fridges, generators, barbing clippers, spaghetti making machines, grinding machines and fish pond tanks and feed.

The food items given to each of the benefitting households include one bag of maize, beans, rice, palm and groundnut oils, seasoning, sugar and salt.
