Ekiti State government has appointed Dr. Tope Aroge as a Member of Governing Council of the State’s College of Agriculture and Technology, Isan-Ekiti.
Dr. Aroge is currently the Managing Director of Arog Bio Allied Agro Services Limited – a 6,000mt per annum high quality cassava flour/starch plant with 500ha farm at Ipao Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Approved by the state governor, John Kayode Fayemi, the appointment was revealed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji.
Prior to his appointment, Dr. Aroge was a foundation beneficiary of the Youth Employment in Agric Program (YEAP) of FMARD during the tenure of former Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina. He is also a Corporate Member of the Industrial Cassava Stakeholders Association of Nigeria.
Speaking on this development, Barr. Richard-Mark Mbaram, Chief Executive Officer of AgroNigeria lauded the State Government of Ekiti for the decision, expressing confidence that Dr. Aroge will replicate the feats that saw him emerge as Nagropreneur of the year 2015 and Agro Ambassador of the year 2018 at the Nigeria Agriculture Award ceremonies held in these respective years.
