The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) has distributed agricultural inputs to farmers in Gujba Local Government Area of the state.
The assignment was carried out by officials of the two agencies at Buni Yadi, the headquarters of Gujba local government.
The Executive Secretary of YOSEMA, Dr. Mohammed Goje, asked that the recipient farmers do not divert the items given to them and assured that no farmer shortlisted would be shortchanged in the distribution of the items.
Dr. Goje said that Governor Maimala Buni’s administration was determined to respond to all emergencies on time, thereby adding value to the lives of the citizens.
He said that this support given to farmers, was in line with Governor Buni’s agricultural agenda of boosting farming activities for the economic development of Yobe State
NEMA representative, Akiode Saeed, asked that the farmers make judicious use of the assistance and ensure that the inputs are used for their intended purpose to enable them to boost their yields.
Among the materials shared among the recipient farmers were; seeds, chemicals, sprayers and other agricultural inputs to farmers in the council.
