
Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), has held a meeting with stakeholders in the rice Value Chain from Kano State ahead of the 2019/20 Dry Season farming.
According to NIRSAL, the meeting was aimed at discussing the most effective Cost of production for rice in the upcoming farming season.
Upon reaching a favourable agreement for all parties, the farmers’ applications have been forwarded to NIRSAL for further processing.
The meeting had in attendance representatives of Central Bank’s Kano State Development Finance Office, Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Cooperation, input/service suppliers and smallholder farmers.
