National Cashew Association of Nigeria (NCAN) has debunked rumours that the Association met with the officials of Ministry of Trade and Investment and has agreed on holding a fresh election.

In a statement by the President of the Association, Ojo Ajanaku the Association never attended any meeting and its not planning to hold another election.

A former top exco of the Association, (name witheld) and his friends are said to be allegedly peddling rumours that the current excos of the Association has met with the Ministry of Trade and Investment and agreed to hold another election.

According to Ajanaku, “This is not true as we never attend any meeting with them.”

The President who reiterated his administration’s commitment to advancing the cause of the Association commended members for their unflinching support.

“Please disregard such information as we are committed to repositioning and rebranding the association. Thank you all for your untiring support and faith in our administration.” He said
