New AFAN President, Excos Visit Nanono

The new national executives of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) on Tuesday visited the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development

The new National President of the Association, Rabiu Mudi, led the delegation to the office of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alh. Muhammed Sabo Nanono, in Abuja.

The purpose of the visit, according to the Association, was to seek further collaboration with the Ministry.

Mudi, the former Kano State chapter chairman of the Association, had earlier visited the Minister on March 5 — two days after he emerged the new national president following a National Working Committee meeting held in Abuja.

There have been disagreements in the Association over Mudi’s emergence.

Ousted national president, Kabir Ibrahim, has accused the new president and executives of not being duly elected.
