The Federal Government is set to flag off the distribution of agricultural inputs to Nigerian farmers in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mustapha Baba Shehuri, said the exercise is part of efforts to cushion the effects of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Shehu, who will supervise the exercise, added that the distribution is also aimed at averting food scarcity in 2021.
The exercise will be the third phase of a series of agricultural input distributions that have been carried out in Kano and Kaduna States.
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, is expected at the occasion.
