Women Farmers’ Association in Yobe state has commended the state governor, Mai Buni for providing tractor, fertiliser and other farm inputs to boost agricultural productivity.

The group, while speaking to newsmen in Damaturu extended appreciation to the governor for the role he has played in impacting women agriculture in the state.

Leader of the association, Hajiya Kellu Isa said the gesture by the state government will help promote agricultural activities and ensure food sufficiency in the state.

“We must commend Gov. Mai Mala Buni for giving due consideration to women in both urban and rural areas of the state, particularly in the agricultural sector.

“We commend him for providing us with tractors, fertiliser, chemicals, and other inputs to boost our yield,” she said.

The intervention by the government would go a long way in boosting the resolve of women in agriculture in the state.
