The Lagos State Government has confirmed the appointment of the hitherto Acting Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya, as its new substantive commissioner.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s confirmation was contained in a circular issued on Tuesday by the State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola.
A press release replicated on the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture’s Twitter page (lagosagric1), also confirmed the appointment.
Olusanya was appointed Acting Commissioner for Agriculture, in June this year, as a replacement for the former Commissioner, Prince Gbolahan Lawal.
Before she was appointed Acting Commissioner, she was Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Agriculture.
“Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has confirmed the appointment of Ms. Abisola Olusanya as the substantive Commissioner for Agriculture.
“The Governor’s confirmation was contained in a circular issued today by the State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola”, the post read in part.
Olusanya has been hailed for her leadership roles and proficiency in executing strategies towards food security.
