AFAN Unveils Registration Platform for Famers Following 9PSB Breakthrough

The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has opened a national registration platform to register real-time farmers across the federation.

Registered farmers, through the platform, will benefit from programmes and interventions lined up for members of the association.

In a statement revealed exclusively to AgroNigeria, National President, Alhaji Farouk Rabiu Mudi disclosed that the first 12 States to register up to 5,000 members in the next two weeks will be among the pilot states.

The AFAN President laid out the first phase of the procedures thus: “Payment of N2000 into association National account: ALL FARMERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA; Heritage Bank account; 5100311787.

“Tellers should indicate Name and State of farmer and be submitted to the State Secretariat for further processing.

“Local Government Area, Phone Number and Commodity will be requested of farmers at the secretariat along with the copy of the teller”

The President also disclosed that an Identification card (ID card) will be issued to farmers, alongside a 9mobile Payment Service Bank (9PSB) sim pack with a N500 recharge bonus.

Recall that last month, 9Mobile Nigeria, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AFAN to foster communication with farmers nationwide.

AgroNigeria gathered that the setup of the liaison platform will be handled by AFAN’s National President, Farouq Mudi.

Registered members will also have access to all 9PSB services including micro-credit loans.
