The Federal Government has tasked Nigerian farmers on increased production during 2021 wet season farming, after it disbursed fertilisers in Katsina.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Sabo Nanono gave the charge while flagging off the distribution of fertilisers seized/intercepted by Nigeria Customs Services, Katsina State Command in Katsina, last weekend.
Nanono emphasised the need for collaborative efforts to boost agricultural production nationwide and reassures of President Muhammadu Buhari administration’s unwavering commitment towards upliftment of Agriculture and farmers’ well-being.
Represented by his Special Assistant, Dr. Yahaya Sabo, the minister urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the inputs with the sole purpose of improving productivity.
On his part, Chairman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Katsina State chapter, Alhaji Sani Danjari, on behalf of farmers in Katsina State, appreciated Mr President and his Agric Minister for always coming to their rescue.
In his words, “With the relentless efforts and concern you’ve shown to us so far, now we feel the Government belong to us and we belong to the Government”.
